Atlanta Falcons Owner and Chairman Arthur M. Blank announced today the promotion of Greg Beadles to President and Chief Executive Officer of the Atlanta Falcons, a move that reflects both continuity and confidence in long-standing leadership within the organization.
In his new role as President and CEO, Beadles will oversee all aspects of the Falcons’ business operations and work closely with the president of football to ensure alignment across both the business and football sides of the organization. Beadles succeeds Rich McKay, who has served as CEO since 2011 and will now continue solely in his role as Chief Executive Officer of AMB Sports and Entertainment (AMBSE).
“Over the past three decades, Greg has diligently served in a variety of roles throughout our organization and has made an indelible impact on those around him each step of the way,” Blank said. “His expertise, institutional knowledge and leadership have been invaluable to our entire organization, and he has my full confidence and trust as he steps into this new role. I would also like to thank Rich McKay for his dedicated service to the organization over the past two decades as he shifts his focus solely to leading the AMB Sports and Entertainment portfolio.”
Beadles has served as president of the Falcons for the past three years, overseeing day-to-day operations across finance, marketing, digital, communications, human resources, community relations and shared game-day functions including presentation, retail, sales and service. During that time, he led significant expansions and renovations at the team’s headquarters in Flowery Branch, while the Falcons consistently ranked among the NFL’s top teams in overall gameday satisfaction in the league’s Voice of the Fan survey.
“Growing up a die-hard Falcons fan in Georgia, it’s been a dream to spend my career working for my hometown team,” Beadles said. “I’m honored and humbled to continue to serve our organization in this new role. I want to thank Arthur for his leadership, support and trust as we work to deliver a team our community is proud of both on and off the field. I also want to thank Rich for his mentorship and guidance both personally and professionally. I look forward to meeting this new challenge head on as we continue building a sustainable business that can compete at the highest level while making a meaningful impact in our community.”
Originally joining the Falcons as an intern after earning his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree from Georgia State University, Beadles now enters his 32nd season with the organization. Over more than three decades, he has played a pivotal role in shaping AMBSE into one of the most respected multi-property sports and entertainment companies in the world.
Beadles was instrumental in the acquisition of Atlanta United and played a leading role in the development, financing, design and construction of Mercedes-Benz Stadium. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of AMBSE and Mercedes-Benz Stadium at the time of its opening, he helped implement innovative initiatives such as digital ticketing, fan-friendly pricing and cashless stadium operations — concepts that are now widely adopted across the industry. In 2018, Sports Business Journal named Mercedes-Benz Stadium its Sports Facility of the Year.
Beyond stadium operations, Beadles served as the lead executive coordinating with the NFL on all planning efforts for Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, helping deliver one of the league’s marquee events on a global stage.
Currently, Beadles serves on the NFL’s Flag Football Committee, supporting the growth of the sport from the grassroots level through its inclusion in the 2028 Summer Olympics and the development of new professional men’s and women’s leagues. Under his leadership, the Falcons have been at the forefront of expanding girls flag football in Georgia, Alabama and Montana, creating a blueprint for other NFL teams to follow.
Beadles also serves on Arthur Blank’s Board of Trustees, providing strategic guidance across Blank’s investments and operating businesses. Outside of football, he is a board member and finance chair of the College Football Hall of Fame, co-founding board chair of Oak Hill Classical School in Dacula, Ga., and the Arete Scholars Fund, a nonprofit that has awarded academic scholarships to more than 25,000 low-income children since 2010. He also serves as an advisor to Eagle Ranch, a nonprofit dedicated to restoring and renewing relationships for children and families.
With deep roots in Georgia — and a family legacy tied to athletics through his father’s more than 50-year career as a basketball coach and athletic director — Beadles’ promotion represents both a personal milestone and a significant chapter for the Falcons organization. He and his wife Jill have four children: Ella, Grant, Evie and Hudson.
