The Atlanta Falcons continue to shape their roster ahead of Week 1, acquiring offensive lineman Michael Jerrell from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for a conditional 2027 seventh-round pick. In a corresponding move, Atlanta also announced the signing of 14 players to its practice squad.
Jerrell, a 6-foot-5, 309-pound tackle out of the University of Findlay, was drafted by Seattle in the sixth round (207th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. He appeared in 10 games last season, making three starts at right tackle. A native of Indianapolis, Jerrell spent six years at Findlay, racking up 48 career appearances and 40 starts, and capped his college career as the GMAC Offensive Lineman of the Year.
The Falcons also finalized their practice squad, a unit that provides depth, developmental opportunities, and potential game-day elevations throughout the season.
