Dream Dominate Fever in Statement Win at Home

The Atlanta Dream cruised to a commanding 77-58 win over the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night, showcasing a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense from start to finish. With the victory, the Dream improved to 1-1 in Commissioner’s Cup play and also moved to 1-1 with a new-look starting lineup featuring Jordin Canada, Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, Brionna Jones, and Brittney Griner.

Tuesday’s win also shifted the Dream’s all-time series record against Indiana to 35-32 overall and 21-12 at home. The dominant defensive effort held the Fever to just 58 points—the fewest allowed by Atlanta since August 2023—and tied the fourth-largest margin of victory over Indiana in franchise history.

Allisha Gray led the way with 23 points, marking her fifth 20+ point performance in nine outings this season. The two-time All-Star also contributed six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in a well-rounded showing. Brionna Jones added 21 points and 10 rebounds for her fifth consecutive double-double, continuing her impressive stretch of consistency and interior dominance.

Atlanta’s bench provided a critical spark, led by Naz Hillmon and Nia Coffey, who combined for a +36 plus-minus. Hillmon tied her career high with five assists and finished with a team-best +24, while Coffey chipped in 10 points and knocked down a deep three late in the game to help seal the win.

With the Dream’s Commissioner’s Cup record now at 1-1, the total donation to the Center for Black Women’s Wellness has increased to $4,000 as part of the league’s community initiative.

The Dream held Indiana scoreless from beyond the arc for much of the game and dominated in transition, outscoring the Fever in fast-break points and owning the paint. Atlanta also held Indiana to just nine points in the third quarter, a season-low for any Dream opponent.

The team now turns its attention to Friday’s matchup against the Chicago Sky, looking to build off the momentum of a complete team performance and climb the Commissioner’s Cup standings.
