Atlanta United announced Wednesday that forward Cayman Togashi is expected to miss the next four to six weeks after undergoing a procedure to repair a partial meniscus tear in his right knee. The timeline for his return will ultimately depend on his recovery during the rehabilitation process.
Togashi, who joined Atlanta United this season, has been working to establish himself as a contributing option in the club’s attacking rotation. The injury presents a setback for the 25-year-old as the team navigates a challenging stretch of the season.
Atlanta United (4-8-5, 17 points) returns to MLS action on Thursday, June 12, when it travels to face New York City FC at Yankee Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
