The Atlanta Dream and Cash App today unveiled a wide-reaching and innovative partnership that cements the financial services platform’s dedication to shaping a more inclusive future for women’s sports and accessible money management. The landmark deal, centered on shared values of equity, empowerment, and community investment, positions Cash App as the Official Financial Services Partner of the Atlanta Dream and the official jersey sponsor for the 2025 season.
As part of the agreement, Cash App’s logo will be prominently featured on all three versions of the Dream’s jerseys in two strategic locations: the chest patch and abdomen marquee. The collaboration extends to the team’s practice gear, further emphasizing the depth and visibility of the partnership.
But the alliance goes far beyond branding. Rooted in a mutual commitment to empowering girls and women, the Dream and Cash App will roll out a year-round slate of programming aimed at achieving equity through sports, leadership, and education. These initiatives will include youth basketball camps and clinics for girls that combine on-court training with S.T.E.M. education and leadership development. Additionally, Cash App will help scale the Dream Collective, a program focused on breaking down barriers for small business owners from underrepresented communities by providing resources, mentorship, and marketing support.
“We are so excited to welcome Cash App as an Official Financial Services Partner of the Atlanta Dream,” said Morgan Shaw Parker, President and COO of the Atlanta Dream. “Cash App shares our innovative mindset to empower girls and women through sport and create economic opportunities in our community. The energy and creativity they have brought to this collaboration has been tremendous and we look forward to unveiling additional programming prior to the season.”
Fans attending games at Gateway Center Arena will see the Cash App influence firsthand. From exclusive discounts on merchandise and concessions for Cash App users to branded giveaways, in-game activations, and curated content across the Dream’s digital channels, the partnership is set to elevate the game-day experience while enhancing fan engagement.
“It’s a privilege to partner with the Atlanta Dream on their efforts to push the boundaries between sports and culture through bold, community-focused endeavors,” said Catherine Ferdon, Chief Marketing Officer at Cash App. “We look forward to working alongside the Dream to create world-class experiences for fans and uplift the Atlanta community while championing female athletes.”
This strategic alignment builds on Cash App’s growing presence in sports and entertainment, from sponsoring a Formula One team and working with athletes like Angel Reese and Serena Williams, to hosting exclusive presales for major tours by artists like Kendrick Lamar and SZA. The partnership with the Dream was facilitated by Excel Sports Management’s Properties division.
As the Dream gear up for what promises to be a historic 2025 season, the team boasts a strengthened roster with marquee additions Brittney Griner, Brionna Jones, and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough joining All-Stars Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray under new Head Coach Karl Smesko. With Cash App onboard, the Dream are poised to make waves both on and off the court—championing a movement that’s bigger than basketball.
