FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons welcomed over 100 NFL Draft prospects to their annual Local Pro Day on Friday, April 11, at the team’s facility in Flowery Branch. This event serves as a key scouting opportunity, allowing the Falcons’ front office and coaching staff to evaluate homegrown talent up close before the 2025 NFL Draft.
The local pro day is designed for players with ties to the state—either by hometown or college affiliation—and gives them a unique opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NFL personnel. Falcons General Manager Terry Fontenot and Head Coach Raheem Morris were among the many decision-makers in attendance, evaluating prospects through a variety of position drills, interviews, and athletic testing.
Why Local Pro Days Matter
While the NFL Combine and official collegiate pro days capture the national spotlight, local pro days are just as critical—particularly for prospects from smaller programs or those overlooked in mainstream scouting circles. It’s a chance for teams to uncover potential hidden gems, extend invites to rookie minicamp, and begin building relationships with players who could eventually contribute on the practice squad or 53-man roster.
“We take this day seriously,” Fontenot has said in the past. “We want to give these young men the opportunity to compete and show what they can bring to an NFL team.”
Notable Positional Depth
The Falcons have several positions of need heading into the draft, including EDGE, offensive line, and wide receiver. This year’s participant pool featured a strong group across those units, with multiple former SEC standouts and Georgia natives showcasing NFL-caliber athleticism.
