Atlanta’s five-game homestand continues on Friday, 1/12, against the Indiana Pacers at the award winning State Farm Arena.
Ahead of tonight’s matchup the Hawks, who faced off against Philadelphia on 1/10, are playing consecutive home games for the first time since 11/21 (vs. Indiana) and 11/22 (vs. Brooklyn) are coming off a 139-132 overtime victory over the 76ers (1/10)inside State Farm Arena.
In the Hawks victory on 1/10, Trae Young (28 points, 11 assists), Dejounte Murray (25 points, five assists) and Jalen Johnson (25 points, career-high seven assists) each recorded 25-or-more points and five-or-more assists, marking the first time in franchise history a trio of Hawks all tallied at least 25 points and five assists in the same game (regular season or postseason) and the third such instance in the NBA this season.
In addition to his 25 points and career-high seven assists, Johnson also grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds, to go along with two blocks and one steal in 41 minutes of action (8-13 FGM, 3-4 3FGM, 6-6 FTM). The third-year forward became just the third player in the NBA this season to finish with at least 25 points, 16 boards, seven assists, two blocks and one steal in a game, joining Giannis Antetokounmpo (1/1/24) and Anthony Davis (12/30/23) and became the first Hawk since Josh Smith (2/15/12) to do so. Jalen is also the first player in the NBA this season to do so while knocking down at least three triples.
