As the Gladiators fell 6-3 in their pre-season opener on Sunday afternoon, the Gladiators (1-0-0-0) scored three times in the second period to open the 2023-24 season with a 4-2 victory over the Savannah Ghost Pirates (1-1-0-0) on Saturday evening at Gas South Arena, in Duluth, Georgia.
The Atlanta Gladiators announced on Tuesday that forward Nolan Burke has been re-assigned to the club from the Milwaukee Admirals by the Nashville Predators.
Burke, 20, signed a three-year, entry level contract with Nashville as an undrafted free agent during November of last year.
Prior to signing with Nashville, the Peterborough, Ontario native played parts of the last five seasons with the Sarnia Sting of the OHL. In 177 total games with Sarnia, the creative center amassed 154 points (90g, 64a). This past year, Burke eclipsed the 50-goal mark for the first time in his career, finishing second in the league in the goals scored column.
The Gladiators continue the 2023-24 season on the road this weekend, as they travel to Allen, Texas to take on the Americans on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
