Atlanta United announced it has agreed to transfer 19 year old, goalkeeper Vicente Reyes to Norwich City F.C. of the English Championship, pending a physical and the receipt of his International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
“A member of our inaugural Academy class, Vicente followed the club’s player pathway to earn a professional contract and has served the club well during his time here,” Atlanta United Vice President and Technical Director Carlos Bocanegra said. “Ultimately, this was a situation where an opportunity arose that made sense for both parties to accept the transfer. We wish him the best of luck at Norwich and in his future endeavors.”
Reyes joined Atlanta United’s Academy in 2016 as part of the inaugural U-13 team and later signed a professional contract with Atlanta United 2 on Jan. 7, 2022. He made a combined 31 appearances for ATL UTD 2 from 2020-2023, earning his professional debut on Sept. 3, 2020 against Philadelphia Union II in USL Championship.
