Project Rebound

The Hawks’ Foundation, Chase, and Good Sports hosted the “Project Rebound” Basketball Clinic on Monday, February 27th, 2023. This amazing clinic was for youth students ages 12-14. The clinic is part of an initiative launched by the Hawks Foundation and Good sports in 2018. The purpose of the initiative was to implement and provide sports resources to Title I schools and an area where non-profits work in high-need communities.
The event was hosted at John Lewis Invictus Academy basketball court. From start to finish you can see the smiles on the youth’s faces in excitement.  As part of the initiative, the participating schools and organizations received basketballs and fitness equipment for youth programs. “The project is committed to helping the communities across the Atlanta area.”
In attendance for the event, Atlanta Hawks #15 Clint Capela was there to experience an amazing time with the youth. “This experience was amazing, every time I see the kids smile it makes me happy. Every time they recognize me from NBA 2K, they would talk about how they get so many lobs and plays with me so being here in person is surreal” stated Capela.
Throughout the next few months the Hawks Foundation, Chase, and Good sports will host and sponsor various clinics to continue to show their support to the Atlanta Community. “Tonight’s event is part one of a larger four-part clinic activation in partnership with Chase. The hawks and chase will host additional projects at three recipient organizations from February to May.
