Vibe’s Remaining Home Matches Before Neutral Playoffs
There’s only two regular season home games left, before they head to Omaha.
Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 p.m. – vs. Vegas Thrill for Faith & Family Day
Bring the whole family out for a fun, faith-filled afternoon as the Vibe take on the Thrill. Stick around after the match for player autographs and photos. The first 3,000 fans will receive a free Vibe t-shirt, so arrive early!
Thursday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m. – vs. Columbus Fury for Atlanta’s final match of the regular season
This is your last chance to catch the Vibe at home before the playoffs. Come celebrate an amazing inaugural season and send the team off to the semifinals in style. The first 5,000 fans through the gates will get a commemorative rally towel to wave during the match.
After these final two regular season battles at Gas South Arena, the Vibe begin their quest for the first PVF Championship trophy. As the number one seed, Atlanta has a first-round bye and will face the winner of the 4 vs. 5 seed match. The semifinals and final will be held at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska on May 15 and 18.
Win or lose, what an incredible ride this first season has been. But if anyone can bring home the hardware in year one, it’s your Atlanta Vibe.
Key Players to Watch in Vibe’s Playoff Run
Leah Edmond, Outside Hitter
As the first player signed in league history, all eyes will be on Leah Edmond. The former Kentucky Wildcat was named an All-American three times in college and has not disappointed in her rookie campaign. Edmond currently leads the league in kills and points, cementing herself as the Vibe’s most dangerous offensive weapon. Her explosive power and precision will be pivotal in the Vibe’s championship hopes.
Alli Linnehan, Opposite
Alli Linnehan made history as the first PVF Player of the Week, and the former Ohio State Buckeye has been a key contributor all season. A versatile player, Linnehan ranks second on the team in kills and digs. Her ability to play both front row and back row positions provides flexibility in the Vibe’s rotations. Linnehan’s steady and consistent play will help anchor the Vibe through the high-pressure matches ahead.
Alicia Jones, Setter
The quarterback of the Vibe offense, Alicia Jones leads the league in assists. Her pinpoint setting has allowed Edmond and Linnehan to thrive, and Jones’s ability to distribute the ball and run a quick offense will be essential to the Vibe’s success. A two-time All-Big 10 selection at Penn State, Jones brings championship experience that will help guide the Vibe’s young stars through uncharted territory. Her leadership and composure will be vital in the season’s biggest moments.
With these stars leading the charge, the Vibe seem poised to make history once again. Edmond, Linnehan and Jones headline a roster stacked with talent and the experience to win it all in this inaugural season. The future is bright for pro volleyball in Atlanta, and the Vibe’s playoff run promises to be must-see action. After a dominant regular season, anything less than a championship would be a disappointment. So let’s cheer on our queens of the court before they head off to make their postseason dreams come true! It’s time for Atlanta Vibe volleyball!
