The Atlanta Dream’s 2022 WNBA All-Star and Rookie of the Year Rhyne Howard threw the first pitch at the Atlanta Braves’ game on Wednesday, May 24, as they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:20 p.m. Howard become the first active Dream player to throw a ceremonious first pitch for the Atlanta Braves

Howard averaged 16.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.59 steals in 31.3 minutes in 34 games (all starts) last season for the Dream, finishing the season ranked 11th among all WNBA players in scoring average and setting the Dream franchise rookie records for total points (552) and rebounds (154) in her first professional season.
The Atlanta Dream tip off their home slate this Sunday, May 28 in front of a sold-out crowd at Gateway Center Arena. The Dream’s first five home game matchups will be against the Chicago Sky (Tuesday, May 30th), the New York Liberty (Friday June 9th) and the Connecticut Sun (Sunday June 11th).
