Late in the second, Atlanta took a 2-1 advantage when Derek Nesbitt sent the puck to Gabe Guertler (gurt-lerr) who fired it past the South Carolina goaltender from the seat of his pants.  Eric Neiley sealed the 3-1 victory for Atlanta with an empty-net goal late in the third period.
The Gladiators picked up two points with the win and maintain their place atop the South Division.
