Following the Hawks 141-118 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night, the team returned back to home court to face the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday evening at 7:30 PM ET.

Even with a sluggish start Atlanta’s defense did a decent job in the first quarter.

After the break, Portland struggled to get back in the game in the second half, while Atlanta’s offense exploded into high gear.

With 3 minutes left in the final period, De’Andre Hunter and John Collins made back-to-back 3pointers to push the Hawks lead and close out the game with a 129-117 victory.

The Hawks had six players score in double digits. Trae Young secured his 26th double-double of the season, posting 25 points and 15 assists. John Collins picked his 19th double-double of the season with 24 points. De’Andre Hunter added 22 points, and 4 rebounds.

Kevin Huerter dropped 19 points, a season-high tying 8 assists, and 4 rebounds.

“Consistency is the key and that’s always going to be the key for us. Can we keep it up? Can we continue to share the basketball and move the basketball that way. But what a great effort by our guys tonight.” said Head Coach Lloyd Pierce.
