The Atlanta Gladiators fell to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits 5-2 Saturday night. On Wednesday night the Glads had a strong comeback with a 4-1 victory over the Jacksonville Icemen . Sam Asselin had a 4-point performance as the Glads evened their record 3-3 on the season.
Head coach Jeff Pyle has moved past John Marks into second place for the most games coached in ECHL history. He’s now coached 1,010 games in the league.

Early this week it was announced by the team that two members of the Gladiators offense, had been called up to their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins. Forwards Scott Conway, will see his first AHL action. While Joona Koppanen (YOU-na Cope-AN-en) will go back to Providence.

It was also announced that the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce selected Gladiators Team President Jerry James as the 2019 “Executive of the Year”.

The Gladiators will be back in action at home this Sunday with their first-ever Día de los Muertos celebration that includes a Sugar Skull Bobblehead giveaway to the first 2,500 fans. The afternoon contest will also feature a special priced VIP experience with four members of the MLS Champion Atlanta United.
