Hawks Basketball Academy Hosts 13th Annual Coaches Clinic

The Hawks Basketball Academy’s 13th Annual Coaches Clinic, presented by YMCA of Metro Atlanta, continued its legacy of excellence on Monday, September 23, at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex. At the heart of this clinic was the chance to learn from the best in the business. This free professional development experience, led by Hawks Head Coach Quin Snyder and his elite coaching staff gave nearly 200 coaches unparalleled opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The clinic is part of a broader initiative that includes virtual sessions and Jr. NBA Curriculum resources, designed to foster a collaborative learning environment. This rare access to top-tier NBA coaching expertise is what sets this clinic apart and keeps coaches returning year after year.

Comprehensive Professional Development

This holistic approach ensured that the attendees left with a well-rounded skill set to elevate their coaching game. From X’s and O’s to leadership and communication, the comprehensive curriculum covered all aspects of successful coaching while fostering a multi-faceted approach that fostered a dynamic and collaborative learning atmosphere that extended well beyond the one-day event.

One of the most valuable aspects of the Coaches Clinic was the chance to connect with fellow coaches from across the metro Atlanta area. The participants had the opportunity to build relationships that created a supportive community of basketball mentors dedicated to developing young talent in the region.

We are excited tonight to be here at our practice facility in Brookhaven for our annual Coaches clinic presented by YMCA. We have over 200 college. high school, AAU, junior Hawks, YMCA coaches in attendance tonight.” Sr. Director, Hawks Basketball Academy, Chris Jacobs.  “They’re getting a chance to learn from our coaching staff. Our head coach Quinn Snyder and his staff are giving these coaches an opportunity to see a little bit through the eyes of our coaching staff, the different concepts and skills that we utilize with our guys in hopes of giving them some inspiration that they can take back to their programs and teams.”

This event represented more than just a professional development opportunity. It’s a part of a broader initiative that’s shaping the future of basketball coaching. The knowledge and skills acquired directly impact a robust coaching framework and meets the needs of today’s young athletes which plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of basketball talent. Since its inception in 2011, nearly 5,000 coaches have been impacted by programs offered through the Hawks Basketball Academy’s Coach Education Program.
