The Atlanta Hawks announced Southern hip-hop legend Pastor Troy as the headlining performer for the team’s official 2025 NBA Draft Watch Party, presented by the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. The electrifying event will take place Wednesday, June 25, at the award-winning State Farm Arena, where fans can witness the Hawks make their first-round selections live on the arena’s jumbotron.
The Hawks currently hold the No. 13 and No. 22 overall picks in this year’s NBA Draft, which will follow a two-night format for the second straight year. The first round begins at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN, with round two airing the following evening, June 26, on ESPN.
Tickets for the Draft Watch Party are available now at Ticketmaster.com for just $5, sold on a first-come, first-served basis. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Atlanta Hawks Foundation and its longtime community partner, the YMCA of Metro Atlanta.
Pastor Troy, a staple of Atlanta’s hip-hop culture and founding member of Down South Georgia Boys (D.S.G.B.), is best known for his Southern anthems like “Vice Versa” and “No Mo Play in GA.” With more than 20 independent albums and collaborations alongside Lil Jon, Ludacris, and Three 6 Mafia, the 2016 BMI Legends of ATL Award recipient continues to influence music and the local community alike.
“I’m excited to perform at the Atlanta Hawks’ Draft Watch Party,” said Pastor Troy. “I’m going to bring the energy that will resonate across State Farm Arena all season long. We ready!”
The night will be hosted by the Hawks’ in-game hype emcee CM (Chris Marks), and fans can expect appearances from Hawks Entertainment favorites including Harry the Hawk, the ATL Dancers, and the high-flying Flight Crew. Special giveaways and fan activations will help keep the energy high throughout the night.
“We are so thrilled to host our Draft Watch Party at State Farm Arena,” said Melissa Proctor, Hawks Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer. “We already have thousands of fans committed to coming downtown, and we can’t wait to welcome more as we plan to celebrate the selections of our newest draft picks.”
Doors open at 7 p.m. ET on June 25, and fans will be able to enjoy live draft coverage inside the arena through 11:30 p.m. ET.
