Twelve Atlanta United Players Receive International Call-Ups During June FIFA Window

 

Atlanta United will be well-represented on the international stage this month, with 12 players earning call-ups from their respective national teams for the FIFA international window from June 2-10. Ten players from the First Team, along with one from Atlanta United 2 and one from the club’s Academy, will compete across multiple continents in FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, friendlies, and youth tournaments.

Senior National Team Call-Ups

Luis Abram rejoins Peru for CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers. The veteran defender—who has amassed 45 caps and one goal since debuting in 2016—will feature against Colombia (June 6) and Ecuador (June 10). Peru currently sits ninth in the qualifying table with 10 points through 14 matches.

Miguel Almirón returns to the Paraguay national team, which remains unbeaten in its last eight qualifying matches. Paraguay, sitting fifth with 21 points, hosts Uruguay (June 5) before facing Brazil on the road (June 10). Almirón has started 59 of his 66 international appearances, scoring eight goals and adding six assists since his 2015 debut.

Efraín Morales continues his run with Bolivia in CONMEBOL qualifiers. Morales, who debuted in November 2024, has appeared in Bolivia’s last four qualifiers, including three starts. Bolivia faces Venezuela away (June 6) and hosts Chile (June 10), sitting eighth with 14 points.

Bartosz Slisz travels to Europe with Poland, where he will feature in a friendly against Moldova (June 6) and a crucial UEFA qualifier against Finland (June 10). The defensive midfielder has logged 15 caps since 2021.

Saba Lobjanidze joins Georgia for friendlies on home soil against the Faroe Islands (June 5) and Cape Verde (June 8). The winger has 38 caps and three goals since making his debut in 2017.

Jay Fortune was called up by Trinidad and Tobago for CONCACAF World Cup qualifying. The Soca Warriors will host Saint Kitts and Nevis (June 6) before visiting Costa Rica (June 10). Fortune debuted in 2021 and has since tallied 10 appearances, scoring his first international goal during the 2023 Gold Cup.

Latte Lath will link up with Ivory Coast for international friendlies against New Zealand (June 7) and Canada (June 10) in Toronto. The forward earned his first cap in 2024 and has made two appearances for the Elephants.

Youth National Team Call-Ups

Luke Brennan and Noah Cobb were selected for the U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team, which will play friendlies in Cairo, Egypt against Colombia (June 7) and Egypt (June 10). Brennan has scored two goals in six appearances for the U-20s, while Cobb played a major role in the U.S. reaching the 2024 CONCACAF U-20 Championship final.

Dominik Chong Qui, Kaiden Moore (Atlanta United 2), and Braden Dunham (Academy) are competing with the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team at the UEFA Friendship Cup in Nyon, Switzerland. The team opened group play with a penalty shootout win over France after a 2-2 draw, with Chong Qui and Moore starting and Dunham coming off the bench. The U.S. next faces Argentina (June 4) and Australia (June 7). Chong Qui and Moore previously debuted in March, while Dunham is making his first appearance with the U-18s.

Atlanta United (4-8-5, 17 points) will resume MLS action on Thursday, June 12, traveling to face New York City FC at Yankee Stadium (7:30 p.m. ET). With key players competing around the globe, depth and youth development will be tested as the Five Stripes push toward a midseason turnaround.
