Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray has been named the WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week, the league announced today—marking the first time in her career she’s earned the weekly honor. The recognition comes during one of the most efficient and impactful stretches of play by any player in the league this season.
Gray averaged 26.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game while shooting an eye-popping 65.2% from the field and 62.5% from beyond the arc. Her scoring efficiency wasn’t just impressive—it was elite, and it powered Atlanta to back-to-back road victories.
In the first of those wins, Gray torched the Los Angeles Sparks for 25 points, connecting on 7 of 8 shots from the field and going a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. She also chipped in six assists and five boards in a complete performance. She followed that up with a career-high 28 points in a gutsy comeback win over the Seattle Storm, helping the Dream claw back from a 17-point deficit on the road.
Gray’s two-way impact and red-hot shooting were key in extending the Dream’s win streak and pushing them to their strongest start since 2016. The Olympic gold medalist and two-time WNBA All-Star is proving to be a game-changer for Atlanta in her second season with the team.
With this honor, Gray becomes the first Dream player to win Player of the Week since Rhyne Howard in 2022—a milestone that underscores just how vital her presence has been early in the 2025 campaign.
