FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — The Atlanta Falcons have re-signed veteran cornerbacks Kevin King and Dee Alford, reinforcing the team’s secondary with a mix of experience, versatility, and familiarity ahead of the 2025 NFL season.

King, originally a second-round pick (33rd overall) by the Green Bay Packers in the 2017 NFL Draft, joined the Falcons in 2024 after five seasons in Green Bay. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound defensive back has appeared in 66 career games (43 starts), compiling 200 total tackles (160 solo), five tackles for loss, 32 passes defensed, seven interceptions, three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, and one sack. In 2024, King suited up for 15 games (one start) in Atlanta, tallying seven tackles (five solo), one fumble recovery, and adding three special teams tackles across 156 snaps.

Alford, a former standout in the Canadian Football League with the Grey Cup-winning Winnipeg Blue Bombers, originally signed with Atlanta in 2022. Since then, he has played in 48 games (16 starts) over three seasons, notching 146 total tackles (102 solo), 24 passes defensed, four tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one interception. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Griffin, Ga., native had a breakout 2024 campaign, appearing in all 16 games with 11 starts and recording a single-season career-high 80 tackles (59 solo), 11 passes defensed, one sack, one tackle for loss, and one forced fumble.

Alford, who played college football at Tusculum from 2016–19, appeared in 40 collegiate games with 140 tackles, 40 passes defensed, and 10 interceptions. His return, alongside King, ensures that the Falcons enter training camp with two dependable veterans in the defensive back rotation, both of whom bring leadership and proven production to a developing unit.
