The red-hot Atlanta Vibe (15-8) hit the road on Saturday, April 12, for a highly anticipated matchup against the Orlando Valkyries (13-9) at Addition Financial Arena. First serve is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET and will air live on VBTV. The Vibe enter the contest riding a nine-game win streak—the longest active run in the league—and are seeking to notch their 10th consecutive victory, which would set the record for the longest streak in the 2025 season so far.
Saturday’s match marks the fourth meeting between the Vibe and the Valkyries this season, with Atlanta holding a 2-1 edge in the series. In their most recent showdown on March 21 at Gas South Arena, the Vibe claimed a commanding 3-1 win behind a balanced offensive and defensive effort. Outside hitter Leah Edmond powered the team with 15 kills, while fellow outside hitter Pia Timmer and opposite hitter Aiko Jones each added 11 kills. Jones impressed with a career-high performance, posting a .455 hitting efficiency and only one error on 22 attempts.
Defensively, Atlanta outdug Orlando 83-68, led by standout libero Morgan Hentz’s 23 digs. Hentz continues to pace the league in both total digs and digs per set. Jones also led the blocking effort with two blocks, and setter Marlie Monserez orchestrated the offense with 41 assists—her ninth game this season with 40 or more assists.
With playoff positioning heating up and momentum on their side, the Vibe look to keep their winning streak alive and further cement their status as one of the league’s top contenders.
