Atlanta Vibe Ignite HBCU Night at Home Against Indy Ignite

The Atlanta Vibe (5-5) are set to bring the heat this Sunday, February 16, as they host their much-anticipated HBCU Night match against the Indy Ignite (5-4). The game kicks off at 6:00 p.m. ET and will air nationally on CBS Sports Network, promising an unforgettable evening of high-energy volleyball and cultural celebration.

This special night isn’t just about the game—it’s a full-blown community event. In partnership with the Air Force Reserves and the National Society of Black Sports Professionals, Atlanta’s HBCU Night is loaded with activations to honor and celebrate Black excellence. Fans can look forward to a dazzling step team performance by the Divine Nine, a stirring rendition of the National Anthem by Morehouse College Alumni, and a halftime drumline performance by the Atlanta Ol’ School Drummers.

Before the match, a pre-game networking event will connect fans and community members with Black industry leaders, including sports icon Edwin Moses and media maven Shana Scott. Additionally, the concourse will be buzzing with Black-owned businesses like Flavor on the Fork and Vivo, showcasing the vibrant local entrepreneurship that makes this event even more special.

On the court, all eyes will be on the star matchups. A notable storyline heading into the game is the return of Ignite’s outside hitter, Leketor Member-Meneh. Last season, Member-Meneh was a key player for the Atlanta Vibe, and now she’s set to face her former team on home turf. Recently announced as an inaugural All-Star, she is boasting the second-highest total kills this season at 156, along with the highest kill efficiency in the league at 4.73. Trailing closely is Vibe’s own outside hitter, Leah Edmond, who holds the third-highest kill total in the league with 135 kills.

After this electrifying HBCU Night match, the Vibe will hit the road on February 20 to take on the Indy Ignite on their home court, with first serve scheduled for 6:00 p.m. ET.

With thrilling on-court action, a lineup of cultural festivities, and a strong community vibe, this HBCU Night is set to be one of the most memorable matchups of the season. Don’t miss it!
