The Atlanta Vibe (4-5) came up short in a hard-fought matchup against the Omaha Supernovas (6-3) Saturday night at Gas South Arena. Despite a strong third-set victory, the Supernovas secured the win in four sets.
Atlanta claimed the third set 25-19, showing resilience after dropping the first two frames. Outside hitter Leah Edmond led the charge for the Supernovas, recording an impressive double-double with 18 kills and 11 digs. Taylor Head added another double-double to Omaha’s effort, contributing 10 kills and 14 digs.
The Vibe’s back-row defense was relentless throughout the match, registering 72 total digs compared to the Supernovas 60. Libero Morgan Hentz continued her standout season, averaging 4.75 digs per set and maintaining her position as the league leader in total digs and digs per set.
In the front row, middle blocker Khori Louis stood tall for Atlanta, leading the team with three blocks.
Looking ahead, the Vibe will travel to Grand Rapids to face the Rise on Thursday, February 13th, at 7 p.m. ET. They’ll return home to host HBCU Night against Indy Ignite on Sunday, February 16th, at 6:00 p.m. ET.
