The Atlanta Falcons secured a hard-fought 15-9 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday night, extending their all-time series lead to 9-7 and earning their sixth consecutive win against the Raiders. The game was defined by outstanding defensive play, critical special teams contributions, and key performances on offense as the Falcons continued to showcase their strength.
Atlanta’s defense was relentless, recording at least four sacks for the third consecutive game—something no other team in the NFL has achieved this season. The last time the Falcons accomplished such a streak was back in 2004. The unit also produced a pivotal safety with 5:39 left in the second quarter, courtesy of DL Zach Harrison, marking the team’s first safety since Week 9 of the 2023 season.
RB Bijan Robinson delivered a career-best performance, rushing 22 times for 125 yards and surpassing 1,000 rushing yards on the season. Robinson’s consistency as a dual-threat player was on full display, finishing with 135 total yards from scrimmage. It marked his tenth game this season with at least 100 scrimmage yards, a feat matched only by the league’s top talents.
QB Kirk Cousins connected with WR Drake London for a 30-yard touchdown pass—the longest scoring play of London’s career. London continues to shine in primetime, recording a touchdown in five consecutive primetime games, the longest active streak in the NFL. With three receptions on the night, London surpassed Calvin Ridley for the most catches in a player’s first three seasons in franchise history with 219.
On defense, S Justin Simmons and S Jessie Bates III came up with clutch interceptions, sealing the win. ILB Kaden Elliss anchored the defense with 11 tackles and one sack, while OLB DeAngelo Malone recorded his first career multi-sack game.
Special teams played a key role as WR KhaDarel Hodge blocked a punt and tipped another, helping set up crucial scoring opportunities for the Falcons. P Bradley Pinion also delivered a masterclass in field position control, pinning the Raiders inside the 10-yard line four times.
Looking Ahead
The Falcons now turn their attention to a matchup against the New York Giants on Sunday, December 22. With the holiday season in full swing, Atlanta will look to deliver a pre-Christmas win for the fans.
Stay tuned, sportslovelies!
