The Atlanta Gladiators, in partnership with the ECHL, proudly announced that goaltender Ethan Haider has been named the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the period spanning November 18th to the 24th.
Haider delivered a stellar performance in his two starts during the week, finishing with a 2-0-0 record, an impressive 0.99 goals-against average (GAA), and a .968 save percentage. On Tuesday morning in Orlando, the 23-year-old dominated in net, stopping all 33 shots to secure a 4-0 shutout win. He followed up with another outstanding showing on Friday night, making 28 saves in a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory against Jacksonville at home.
Through eight appearances this season, Haider boasts a 4-4-0 record, ranking 10th in the ECHL with a 2.27 GAA, 13th with a .919 save percentage, and tied for second in the league with two shutouts.
Before joining the professional ranks, Haider showcased his talents across 101 collegiate games at the University of Connecticut and Clarkson University. Over his college career, he recorded an overall 43-42-14 record, eight shutouts, a 2.47 GAA, and a .909 save percentage, further proving his ability to stand tall under pressure.
The Gladiators continue to rally behind Haider’s exceptional play as they push forward in the 2024-25 season.
