Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and AMB Sports and Entertainment Partner with USO to Support Sailors on U.S. Naval Aircraft Carriers

In a continued effort to support the U.S. military, the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, in partnership with AMB Sports and Entertainment, has announced a $1 million grant to the USO. The grant will outfit and support USO Centers on all U.S. Naval aircraft carriers currently in the fleet. This initiative is aimed at enhancing the quality of life for sailors deployed at sea by providing much-needed morale-boosting amenities.

The new USO Centers will offer a variety of comforts similar to those found in land-based USO Centers, including comfortable seating, televisions, gaming equipment, board games, and snacks. These spaces will provide sailors with a place to relax, connect with shipmates, and stay in touch with loved ones back home during their deployments. The grant also extends to support land-based USO Centers, benefiting service members across all branches of the military.

Arthur M. Blank, owner and chairman of the Blank Family of Businesses, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to support the military: “It is a privilege to support and honor the selfless men and women of our military and their families who continuously make tremendous sacrifices to keep our nation and its allies safe. We are proud to continue our longstanding partnership with the USO and are grateful for their unwavering commitment to fostering community and connecting deployed service members with loved ones back home.”

USO CEO and President J.D. Crouch echoed Blank’s sentiments, highlighting the significance of the grant in fulfilling the USO’s mission. “Your support is vital to advancing this initiative and powering our mission. Together, we are creating lasting, meaningful impact in the military community.”

The partnership between the Blank Family Foundation and the USO is not new, but this latest initiative takes the collaboration to a new level, focusing on the unique challenges of sailors serving on aircraft carriers. Earlier this month, Atlanta Falcons President Greg Beadles, Freddie Falcon, the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, Legends, and staff visited sailors aboard the USS Eisenhower in Norfolk, Virginia, alongside the USO. The visit aimed to show appreciation and support for the service members and reinforce the message of gratitude from the Atlanta community.

This new effort marks another chapter in the Blank Family Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting the military, ensuring that those who serve have the resources and connections they need to feel supported while away from home. For more, visitwww.blankfoundation.org.
