Prior to last night’s Hawks’ victory against the Boston Celtics, the Hawks and BMW hosted the graduation for the inaugural class of the She LEADS women’s empowerment program ahead of Women’s Empowerment Night.
Walking through the doors, the atmosphere set the perfect tone for Women’s Empowerment Night. The graduates beaming faces reflected the pride and possibility of the night ahead. We witnessed HERstory – with trailblazing women stepping into their leadership role, and paving the way for the future female leaders.
There was panel called “Navigating the Path to Leadership: Wisdom and Tactics from Trailblazing Women” the session helped equip She Leaders with strategies to surmount the distinctive hurdles women encounter in professional environments and entrepreneurial ventures. By sharing their experiences, the panelists equipped the SheLEADERS with strategies to overcome hurdles in their own paths to leadership.
Following the panel, there was an official graduation ceremony for the She LEADERS which included a keynote address from Tracey Atwater, President and Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities that shined a light on the wisdom and perseverance.
“These Atlanta women have worked so hard throughout the year both personally and professionally to continue to grow themselves and we’re excited to have been a part of that journey and can’t wait to see how it extends beyond graduation and makes an impact on our city.”said Hawks’ Executive Vice President and Chief People, Diversity and Inclusion Officer Camye Mackey.
The Atlanta Area BMW Centers are so proud to be here celebrating the graduation of the inaugural She LEADS Class,” said Stephanie Frank, General Manager at BMW of Gwinnett Place.
The Hawks’ victory against the Boston Celtics was the perfect ending to a night dedicated to empowering and uplifting women. By honoring the contributions of women and providing opportunities for leadership and growth, the Hawks are helping make HERstory.
