The Atlanta Vibe steamrolled their way to a quick three-set sweep over the Orlando Valkyries on Thursday night, pulling out the win with stellar defense that kept Orlando’s hitters frustrated and out of rhythm all night. Led by Anna Lazareva, Morgan Hentz, and Marlie Monserez, the Vibe held the Valkyries to a measly .100 hitting percentage and completely shut down Orlando’s top scorer Adora Anae. With Lazareva and Leah Edmond powering the offense and Monserez dishing out 43 assists, Atlanta claimed their fifth-straight victory in commanding fashion. This impressive run marks the longest win streak any team has seen so far in the PVF’s inaugural season.
Up next: The red-hot Vibe head to Columbus on Saturday for their final matchup against the league’s last remaining team. before returning home to host them on Wednesday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Gas South Arena.
