You’re a Hawks fan who’s stuck it out through the highs and lows. This season’s been a rollercoaster already, and it just got bumpier. Saddiq Bey tore his ACL during Sunday’s night’s 116-103 loss to New Orleans- ouch! As if the injuries weren’t piling up enough. To make matters worse, the Hawks now have a challenging road trip ahead of them, continuing with the LA Clippers tonight.
Atlanta has now dropped two of their last three games, with the Trailblazers defeating the Hawks 106-102 on Wednesday in Portland.
Atlanta put up a fight against the Utah Jazz on Friday night but came up short. At least Jalen Johnson looked healthy in his return from a three-game absence due to an ankle sprain. Johnson went off for 26 points against the Jazz. But former Hawks Big Man John Collins and his new team got the 124-122 win. Dejounte Murray and De’Andre Hunter tried their best, combining for 60 points, but the Hawks still took the L.
The Hawks will look to get back on track during this West Coast swing. Now it’s on to face the Clippers (tonight), Lakers on March 18., and the Suns on March. 21., before finally returning home on Mar 23 to face the Hornets. It’s a tough stretch, but our ATL Hawks need you to stick with them through the storm.
