The Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Tipoff Club hosted the ‘Hawks-Naismith Tipoff Classic presented by adidas’ on Saturday, Nov. 18 at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (Atlanta).
The ‘Hawks-Naismith Tipoff Classic displayed a thrilling showcase of high school ballers while celebrating the shared passion and love for the game of basketball within the community.
Prior to the Tipoff Classic, there was a Jr. Hawks Basketball Clinic for 100 boys and girls, ages eight to 14, courtesy of Local Attorney Ken Nugent.
Nugent, also donated $1 to the Atlanta Hawks Foundation for every point scored during both the Hawks-Naismith Tipoff Classic & Holiday Classic. This partnership helps the Atlanta Hawks Foundation’s mission to increase access to play for athletes across the state.
This is the eighth showcase that the Hawks and Atlanta Tipoff Club have collaborated. Past venues include Norcross High School, Pace Academy, Holy Innocents’ and Maynard Jackson High School. Throughout the event’s history, 170 teams have participated, which includes more than 2,250 male and female athletes.
