AtlantaΒ currently holds a 6-4-1 all-time record against Chicago in MLS regular season play: 5-0-0 at home and 1-4-1 on the road.
Atlanta won the last meeting at Mercedes-Benz Stadium 4-1 on May 7, 2022 while the teams played to a 0-0 draw at Soldier Field on July 30, 2022.
The team leads MLS with four goals scored in the first 15 minutes of matches this season.
Ahead of today’s match Caleb Wiley made his United States Men’s National Team debut on Wednesday, coming on as a substitute in the Allstate Continental ClΓ‘sico against Mexico.
Giorgos Giakoumakis scored in each of his first four MLS starts, becoming just the seventh player in MLS history to do so. Giakoumakis is the second player in club history to score in four consecutive matches, joining Josef MartΓnez, who accomplished the feat four times.
