Chiefs Win the SUPER BOWL LVII

In a historical moment two African American quarterbacks faced each other in Super Bowl LVII at State Farm Arena in Arizona.

Let’s start from the beginning!

Earlier in the week, Kansas City Chiefs Andy Reid said that the older he gets the more he appreciates a moment like this; another trip to the Super Bowl.”

Philadelphia Eagles Nick Sirianni asked his players to maintain focus through the weekend as they rest their bodies ahead of Sunday’s game against the Chiefs. “Our message and our identity all year has been to play fast, physical and for each other.” 

Pre Game Shenanigans:

In an electrifying atmosphere in Scottsdale, Arizona there was Emmy-award winning actress, SHERYL LEE RALPH, who sang a soulful rendition of  “Lift Every Voice and Sing.

ATL producer who put stars like TLC, Toni Braxton and Outcast on the map not to mention he’s a twelve-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist, and songwriter,  BABYFACE performed  “America the Beautiful.

Eight time Grammy, 15x CMA and 10x ACM Award-winner, and one of the country’s most respected and beloved musicians Chris Stapleton song the nation anthem.

Then there was the GAME!!!!!

Jalen Hurts put the Eagles on the board.

Travis Kelce scored a touchdown to even the score and paraded an impressive stanky leg for his celebratory touchdown dance.

Late in the first the score was tied up 7-7.

Then AJ brown scored a 45 yarder to put Philadelphia up 7.

Kansas City was not giving up, they manage to tie the score again with the help of  Nick Bolton.

Then again JALEN FREAKIN HURTS scored the third touchdown of the night.

Mahomes and his team had plenty of time to show up but Jalen and the Eagles put up a tough fight. At the half the Eagles extended the lead to was 24-14.

International icon RIHANNA headlined the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show.

After the half Kansas City gained some steam and made it a 3 point game behind Isaiah Pacheco touchdown.

Jake Elliott extended the Eagles’ lead to six.

Early in the 4th Kadarius Toney scored a walking touchdown to put the Chiefs ahead for the first time of the night.

Wide opened touchdown was scored by Chiefs rookie Sky Moore.

Eagles Jalen Hurst scored another touchdown making the 4th for the night.

Minutes later there was a 2- point conversation touchdown to tie the score.

With seconds left Chiefs and Decatur, Georgia native Harrison Butker kicked the game winning field goal to seal the win.

The Chiefs won their second Super Bowl Championship in the past four years.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was voted the winner of the Pete Rozelle Trophy awarded to the Super Bowl LVII Most Valuable Player, marking the second time Mahomes was crowned the MVP, first time was Super Bowl LIV. He is also the sixth player ever to win multiple Super Bowl Most Valuable awards, joining Tom Brady (five), Eli Manning  (two) and Pro Football Hall of Famers. Joe Montana  (three), Terry Bradshaw (two) and Bart Starr (two). At 27 years and 148 days old, he is the second-youngest player ever to win multiple Super Bowl Most Valuable Player awards, trailing only Tom Brady. (26 years and 182 days old).

“It feels amazing. The last time I was at one of these was after the 2020 season,when we lost to Tampa. Glad we were able to get the win.It was a tough halftime for us knowing that we were down by 10. Patrick and Kelce did a great job rallying the troops getting us motivated, we scored a touchdown on our first drive.”said Butker.

I love Philadelphia. I love my time in Philadelphia. Phenomenal people, and we had some great years. I left the organization on a positive note with Jeff Lurie and really everybody there. Theres still three of their real good players. Theres still guys that I had a chance to coach and Im so proud of them for the careers that theyve had. Its a great city. Its a great city. As is Kansas City. Ive been very fortunate, man. Very, very fortunate.” said Andy Reid on how it feels to win a second Super Bowl and for it to come against his former team.

“Luckily, I’m going to Disneyland now, so I have Disney World and Disneyland crossed off and they will have to make some more parks so I can go around everywhere and do a world tour.” said Mahomes.
