Excited fans gathered at the Mercedes Benz on Monday for the Atlanta Falcons Training Camp to see what Arthur Smith and the A-town squad have up their sleeves for the upcoming regular season.

Fans also got a glimpse of the current roster, which will be cut down on Tuesday to an 85 man roster.

Dreadful memories of last season still lingering: Atlanta was 7-10 last season. The falcons finished 3rd in the NFC South and 12th in the NFC after succumbing to the Saints 30-20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 9.

Atlanta is coming off a preseason win against Detroit and are looking to gain their 2nd straight when the team faces the Jets in New York Monday in week 2 of NFL preseason action at MetLife Stadium.

Falcons stayed competitive until the end against the lions which resulted in the dub.

Do I feel the curse of ATL football is finally over? This is a rebuilding season and it is too soon to tell but we will see.

Up Next: The dirty birds will return home on Aug 27., to face the Jacksonville Jaguars, after that we will have to wait a few weeks to see the regular season home opener against the best southern rivalry in the NFL, the Saints on Sunday September 11 at 1 pm ET.
