Atlanta fans crowded the Gateway Center Arena at College Park to watch the Dream play the Los Angeles Sparks Friday night.
Cheyenne Parker came up clutch for the Atlanta Dream when she drove the baseline and made a layup with 0.3 seconds left to lift Atlanta past the Los Angeles Sparks 88-86 in a sold-out arena.
Rhyne Howard led all scorers finishing with 28 points, four rebounds, and three assists on a highly efficient 7 of 12 from the field, reaching 20 plus points for the 10th time this season for Atlanta (14-18). Parker finished with 15 points, and Aari McDonald and Maya Caldwell each scored 12 points.
All those ingredients were a recipe for success for Atlanta, who picked up their second straight win. With four games remaining, the Dream is still in the playoff race.
