At the half the Dream led by 28 points marking the second-largest lead the Dream has ever held at the half in franchise history (record: 30 vs. Phoenix, July 30, 2009). The Dream is now 11-1 this season when leading at halftime.Â

Atlanta had five players score in double figures. Rookie sensation Rhyne Howard led the team in scoring 20, Cheyenne Parker collected 17, Aari McDonald added 13, Kristy Wallace netted 12 and Maya Caldwell rounded off the scoring efforts with 10.
“Just not giving them easy points and letting the other team build momentum when we could be extending our lead. With that, coach [Tanisha Wright] is always talking about transition defense, so I knew I had to get back.” said Howard.

Atlanta record against Indiana improves to 31-24 and 19-7 when playing them in Atlanta.
“Thought we started the game off [with] tons of energy, playing the right way. Didn’t finish it the way we needed to finish it, but held on and was able to get a win. So we’ll take the win any which way we can.” said Head Coach Tanisha Wright.
