Tiffany Hayes left the game abruptly after an ankle injury in the second quarter and did not return.
Wings forward Kayla Thornton netted a career-high 21 points for Dallas, while Rhyne Howard led the Dream in scoring 22 points. Aari McDonald added 13 points. Cheyenne Parker collected 12 points and reached 1,000 career rebounds with 4 on Saturday night, bringing her to 1,001 total.

On Tuesday the league announced Atlanta Howard was named July’s WNBA Kia Rookie of the Month for the third consecutive month.
The accolade marks Howard’s sixth of her debut season in the same month that she became the Dream’s second-ever rookie All-Star in franchise history. She becomes just the seventh player in WNBA history to take home three consecutive Rookie of the Month awards after earning the honor in both May and June.
