The Dream offense has been a problem this season, and on Friday at Gateway Center Arena the Dream fell to the Sun 68-93. With the loss, the Sun stretch their winning streak against the Dream to six, dating back to the 2021 season.

Ahead of Sunday’s game against the Mercury and the Dream’s first game of a four-game road trip, Atlanta was without All-Star rookie sensation Rhyne Howard who was out with a right shoulder injury. Monique Billings and Nia Coffey were also out with injuries.Â

Atlanta was able to maintain their rhythm. Throughout the game Cheyenne Parker was a force against Phoenix size. It was in the final minutes that Erica Wheeler landed 10 points and two 3-pointers to seal a 85-75 win for the Dream.

The win cracked an 11-game losing streak by the Dream when playing the Mercury in Phoenix, which was the longest-active streak in the league.

Atlanta had four players score in double digits. Cheyenne Parker led the team in scoring 21 which marked her fifth double-double of the season and 15th of her career with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Tiffany Hayes put up 16 points, Erica Wheeler added 14 and AD finished off the scoring efforts with 12 points.
