Dream beat Lynx 84-76

Rookie sensation Rhyne Howard led the team in scoring 22 points and marking her fourth 20-point game of the season while Kristy Wallace made five 3-pointers and scored a career-high 18 points when the Atlanta Dream defeated the Minnesota Lynx 84-76 on Wednesday night at Gateway Center Arena.

Atlanta lead was cut in the third quarter, Minnesota found their offensive rhythm and  almost taking control of the game. It was in the final minutes that Atlanta defensive efforts pushed its lead to 8 points. In the end a comeback for Minnesota fell short and Atlanta  gained a home court win.

The Dream forced Minnesota into 24 turnovers.

“Part of our game plan was to pressure the ball, we had good pressure at times, especially on their bigs. I thought we did a good job of that.” said Head Coach Tanisha Wright.

The Atlanta Dream (6-3) returns back to home court to host the Chicago Sky (5-3) this Friday, June 3 at Gateway Center Arena 7:30 p.m. ET.
