In a back to back match the Atlanta Dream fell to the Washington Mystics 73-78 Friday May 20.) and a 20 point loss on Tuesday May 24. With the devastating loss on Tuesday the Dream recorded a franchise-low 50 points.
Atlanta (4-3) had one player score in double digits. With 43 seconds left in the final quarter Aari McDonald made two free throws and finished with 10 points.
“We did some great stuff and there was some stuff we didn’t do so well, so we’re going to definitely watch film when we get back to Atlanta and we’re going to learn from it, but like Coach T says, ‘next play’.” said Guard Erica Wheeler.
The Dream are back at home at Gateway Center Arena Sunday May 29, when the team face off against Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury. Both Taurasi and rookie sensation Rhyne Howard are leading their teams in points and assists. Tip off is at noon.
