Dawn Staley became the first Black coach in men’s or women’s Division I basketball history to win multiple national championships.

Destanni Henderson led the Gamecocks in scoring 26 points, four assists and three steals marking the highest-scoring game of her collegiate career.
“I feel like since Day One we’ve been putting in the hard work and waiting for this moment and tonight I just found open shots.” said Henderson.

Aliyah Boston was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player after dishing out 11 points, 16 rebounds, and two blocks. Boston recorded her 30th double-double of the season.

The Gamecocks has made the Sweet 16 every year since 2014 and won their first national championship in 2017.
