The Atlanta Gladiators (34-18-3-1) fell to the Norfolk Admirals (19-30-2-3 ) at Gas South Arena on the Ortho Sport & Spine Physicians Home Ice, cracking Atlanta’s nine game winning streak on Friday night.
Late in the third period after Mitchell Hoelshcer skated down the left wing, deked around a Norfolk defender, and sent the puck across the low slot to Derek Topatigh who slotted his second goal of the night (13:54). Norfolk reclaimed a 4-3 lead less than one minute later when Greg Betzold scored in front of net (14:14). Despite two goals from Topatigh, Atlanta’s winning -streak ended with 4-3 loss against the Admirals.
