College Park led early in the game but lost the lead in the second quarter. The Skyhawks were down by a bucket at halftime.
Justin Tillman led the Skyhawks at the half with 21 points and 6 rebounds, he finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
Says Tillman, “ We just gotta execute our plays.”
The Cruise picked up their pace early in the third quarter. The Skyhawks trailed by as many as 11 but rallied back and tied the game 103-103 with less than eight minutes left in the fourth quarter.
Langston Galloway knocked down a three with 31 seconds left in regulation. Langston’s three kept College Park in the game but ultimately the Skyhawks fell short in overtime.
Jalen Johnson finished with 19 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists before exiting the game in the fourth quarter due to a glute injury.
The Skyhawks had seven players in double figures for the first time since February 29, 2020.
‘It was an exciting game, we just have to learn from it. We gotta find a way to win,” said Skyhawks Head Coach Steve Gansey.
Up next, College Park will travel to Washington, D.C. to take on Capital City Go-Go at St. Elizabeth East Entertainment and Sports Arena Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. ET.
