After being down 15 points midway through the fourth, the Heat quickly became energized and fought back hard. Kevin Huerter landed a 3 pointer to put the Hawks up 105-94 with under four minutes to play. Miami reacted with a 7-0 run to close the scoring gap to four-points. Young help the team lead 107-101. In the final seconds Heat then responded with another 4-0 run to make it a two-point game. Young found Capela to put Atlanta up by 4 points. Shortly after Heat Duncan Robinson landed a three to make it a one-point game. In the end Young landed a pair of free throws, to boost the lead and cruise to victory as the Heat lost 108-110.

Trae Young finished with a game-high 28 points, a team-high seven assists, three rebounds. Kevin Huerter added 21 points. Young and Huerter recorded their 12th game of scoring 20+ in the same contest. The Hawks duo are the only active pair of teammates from the same draft class to have 12+ games of 20+ points in the same outing, per Elias Sports. Big man John Collins chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds. De’Andre Hunter gained his first double-double of the season (fifth of his career), with 13 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists.
