Coming off a 3-0 home win game on Friday night against the Jacksonville Icemen, the Atlanta Gladiators (3-1-0-0) defeated the Greenville Swamp Rabbits (1-4-0-0) 7-5 on Sunday afternoon at Gas South Arena

The first period began with the Swamp Rabbits striking first thanks to Gavin Gould who scored a goal assisted by Shawn Cameron and Benjamin Freeman. Shortly afterwards Brett Kemp scored two goals, followed by Liam Pecararo who continued his contributions to the offense by launching a shot past Nell leaving Atlanta scoreless.
After One period of play Greenville led 4-0 over Atlanta.
In the second period Atlanta Gladiators finally scored a goal by Derek Topatigh assisted by Gabe Guertler and Dalton Thrower. This was Topatigh second powerplay goal of the season .Hugo Hall scored his fourth goal of the season assisted by Luke Nogard and Tim Davison.
The third proved to be a different story, with Glads Gabe Guetler scoring a shorthand goal assisted by Cody Sylvester, and shortly afterwards Guetler netted again to tie the score.

Dalton Thrower slap shot gave the Glads a 5-4 lead of the night assisted by Josh Thrower, and Derek Nesbitt. Swamp Rabbits Brett Kemp scored a power play and tied the score. But it was a goal scored by Luke Nogard assisted by Derek Nesbitt, and Derk Topatigh that put Atlanta back on top. In the final seconds Cody Sylvester scored the final goal to put this game in the books.
Atlanta returns to home ice against the Florida Everblades on November 14, 2021. Puke drop is set for 3:00 PM.
