The Indiana Pacers will add Greg Foster as an assistant coach on the staff under new head coach Nate Bjorkgren.
Foster was an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks for two seasons. Prior to his time under Lloyd Pierce, Foster spent the 2013–14 season as the assistant coach for player development of the Philadelphia 76ers and the Milwaukee Bucks.
In a statement Pierce said, “On behalf of our coaching staff and our players, I want to thank Greg for his work the past two seasons. He was one of the first people I reached out to when I got the job in Atlanta to join my staff and he’s proven himself to be an up and coming coach. We will miss G, Victoria and the Foster family, but this is a great opportunity for him to take the next step in his coaching career. We wish him the best.”
The Hawks are nearing a deal to hire former Pacers coach Nate McMillan as an assistant coach.
