Earlier this week defensive tackle Marlon Davidson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. The Falcons shut down their facilities Thursday after an assistant coach tested positive. On Saturday Falcons defensive end John Cominsky tested positive for COVID-19.
Defensive line coach Tosh Lupoi was identified as a close contact. Saturday’s announcements did not affected the status of Sunday’s game. Lupoi and assistant Jess Simpson did not travel with the team to Minnesota. As a precautionary measure the team took two planes to Minnesota and injured players were left home.
The winless Falcons (0-5) are now under the leadership of interim head coach Raheem Morris and are in search of their first win of the season when the team matchup against the Vikings (1-4) at 1:00 pm., today at U.S. Bank Stadium.
