On Wednesday night Atlanta United ended the match with a scoreless draw against Orlando City SC at Mercedes Benz Stadium.
Brad Guzan made a season-high six saves and posted his fifth clean sheet of the season. It was the team’s second consecutive shutout and third in its last four matches.
“I think it is a good point. Obviously, a team that’s unbeaten in nine games coming to your place, they are a dangerous team. We are obviously trying to win every game. But there were situations tonight we had chances to score goals. They did as well. Brad (Guzan) was fantastic tonight. There weren’t too many where you are thinking they should have really scored. I think we were in control especially in the second half. Any of their opportunities came from breaks, I just felt like we were in control and the group that was on the pitch had the best chance of winning the game.” said Interim Head Coach Stephen Glass on the game result being a good point earned.
Atlanta United (5-8-3, 18 points) returns to action Saturday, Oct. 10 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium against New York Red Bulls at 6:00 p.m.
