21, Carter, missed six games due to an ankle injury, but led the team in points per game with 17.4, a new franchise record by a rookie. Carter also became the youngest player in WNBA history to score at least 30 points in a game when she poured in 35 points against Seattle on August 6, setting the record for the most points scored in a single game by a Dream rookie.
Selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft, Carter was the Dream’s highest draft pick since Angel McCoughtry went to Atlanta with the No. 1 overall pick in 2009.
The Dream will make their long-awaited debut in 2021 at Gateway Center Arena in College Park, on Atlanta’s Southside.
