Chennedy Carter and Courtney Williams both led the team in scoring 22 points each. Carter’s 22 points was her ninth double-figure game of the season.
“I think everyone just came out and played with confidence. Everyone played together. We found each other, moved the ball, and we made the game really easy tonight. So, that was the big thing. Those three’s, they were jumping’ from Strick [Shekinna Stricklen] and Glo [Glory Johnson], and I was like, ‘Keep running it. Keep doing it. Keep doing y’all thing,’ because I really want them to get confidence and believe in their selves. So I’m proud of them tonight.” said Carter on what she saw different in her team.

Glory Johnson poured in 13 points, and Elizabeth Williams added 10 points to round off the scoring efforts. Atlanta’s record against Indiana improves to 25-24 all-time.
In the post game presser Coach Nicki spoke on how she plans to build off of the win for the rest of the season with a chance to make the playoffs. “One game at a time. I want somebody else to knock us out, not us to eliminate ourselves. We talked about it tonight. We’re not mathematically eliminated. Even if there comes a point where we are, we want to take the momentum of this season in the next. I think that we may have to win every game, but I just firmly believe we’re capable. So, we’ve got to take one game at a time.”
Next up: The Atlanta Dream now (4-13) will face the New York Liberty (2-14) this Thursday, September 3 at 6:30 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
