“It’s kind of difficult because we didn’t come out on top tonight. Of course I want to win every night [and] every time I step out on the floor, but for me to be able to get in the groove tonight, be able to get out there with my teammates, get loose, get my feet wet really felt good.” said Carter on how she feels about being the first Dream rookie with five straight double digit scoring games to start her career.
Betnijah Laney put 17 points on the board and captured her fourth double-digit scoring outing of the season and third straight.
Next up: The Atlanta Dream now (2-3) will take on the Seattle Storm (4-1) this Thursday, August 6 at 6:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
